One time donation

  • Every dollar counts
  • TROtt subsidizes every hour of service by $23.56.
  • Your donation of $25 makes it possible for us to keep our fees affordable for one lesson
  • Your donation of $500 enables a person with special needs to join an 8 week unmounted program for free.
  • Monthly donations help ensure the sustainability of our programs.

Support a participant

  • Our Financial Assistance Program was established so people with financial barriers would have the opportunity to participate in our programs.
  • You can support equitable access by donating to our Financial Assistance Fund at the button below, or by establishing an annual sponsorship fund as a tribute in memory of a loved one.

Sponsor a horse

  • By “Adopting a horse” for $2,500 for one year, you are covering the care costs of one of our wonderful horses
  • This has the effect of covering the subsidy for 100 hours of therapeutic riding or other equine assisted service.

The Therapeutic Riding Association of Ottawa-Carleton Inc. (TROtt) recognizes the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ Donor Bill of Rights(1). and respects donor privacy and confidentiality. TROtt does not share donor lists with 3rd party solicitors. TROtt is committed to transparency and ethical conduct with respect to all financial transactions.

TROtt adheres to applicable laws, regulations and guidelines with respect to donors versus sponsors and issues tax receipts accordingly.

Businesses and individuals whose names are associated with a business or brand are generally considered sponsors unless they expressly request to be considered a donor and issued a tax receipt, in which case their name will only appear on a List of Donors. No other recognition will be granted. Each contribution will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
