Thank you for considering a donation to TROtt!

TROtt relies on the generosity of the community and is responsible for raising the funds necessary to keep our unique programs running and to support our four-legged friends. TROtt does not receive ongoing government support. Without your assistance, we simply could not service the needs of our community.
We are a registered charitable organization 11947 3262 RR001. All donations of $20 or more will receive a charitable tax receipt.

There are several ways to donate:

The Therapeutic Riding Association of Ottawa-Carleton Inc. (TROtt) recognizes the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ Donor Bill of Rights¹ and respects Donor Privacy and Confidentiality. TROtt does not share donor lists with 3^rd party solicitors. TROtt is committed to transparency and ethical conduct with respect to all financial transactions.

TROtt adheres to applicable laws, regulations and guidelines with respect to donors versus sponsors and issues tax receipts accordingly. Businesses and individuals whose names are associated with a business or brand are generally considered sponsors unless they expressly request to be considered a donor and issued a tax receipt, in which case their name will only appear on a List of Donors. No other recognition will be granted. Each contribution will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

New Adopt a Horse Program
Our programs are dependent upon a healthy and cared for herd of therapy horses. TROtt’s horses are carefully selected and trained, and their care and quality of life is of great importance to us. The Adopt a Horse program will help us with their care and allows us to keep our programs going. 

Adopt a Horse
Corporate Adopter $5000 for one calendar year
Individual Adopter $2500 for one calendar year

As a Corporate or Individual Adopter:
* you get a photo of your adopted horse a meet and greet with your adopted horse
* recognition of your support on our website and the stall of your adopted horse and
* a TROtt calendar featuring our special herd

TROtt will work with each adopter to determine the most appropriate recognition of their contribution, consistent with the adopter’s preferences in terms of recognition and tax treatment. Payment for the adoptions can be processed through:
* Etransfer
* CanadaHelps,
* PayPal
* Cheque payable to Therapeutic Riding Association of Ottawa Carleton (TROtt)

In Kind Donations: TROtt is grateful for your in-kind donations, such as tack, supplies, office equipment, feed etc. Please contact TROtt’s Operations Manager to discuss

Monthly monetary donations: A monthly donation helps provide supplies for classes, tack repairs, blanket cleaning, and grooming supplies.
* Tax receipts are issued for donations of $20 or more
* All donations of $100 or more will be recognized on TROtt’s webpage
